Committed to Fire

Look above
Black cloudless sky somewhere
Difficult to concentrate
Blood filled veins pumping
Cold, frostbitten he walks
Merciless on the high plateau of desolation
Prairie windswept in mist and rain
No man lingers here without reason
Hopeless and free, the seeker finds
No horizon, endless ground
Certain of ones faith, death a relief
Chilled bones, empty eyes lost luster
Beating heart, blackened and infested
Legs made for walking, endless days
Each step closer to the beginning
Memories of another lifetime erased
Nameless fool wanders on without aim
Man, walking, mind racing
Endless possibilities of words
Echo in the valley of death
Frostbites cut open and free
Show no trace of despair
Always the time to move on
Let no one get the grip
Chains broken, no masters and godless
Windswept plateau covers up the traces of a mad man.
